Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Whittier, CA
Step into a rewarding and dynamic role supporting K-12 students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the LA area. This school-based opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 academic year and offers vibrant collaboration within a highly respected district. You’ll work on-site only and travel between 1–4 schools (with the average being two), never exceeding a 20-mile or one-hour commute from your home base. Caseloads are capped at 55–60 students, ensuring that you can provide focused, high-quality services at each campus.
Applicants must hold an active California SLP license, a valid CTC document (preliminary or clear SLP credential, or Certificate of Clearance), and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Both Clinical Fellows (CFs) and fully certified SLPs are encouraged to apply; however, supervision arrangements must be in place prior to placement for CFs. Please note, SLPA’s will not be considered. The position does not require case management responsibilities, as each campus has a dedicated case manager.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Active California SLP license and valid CTC document
- CCC or CF candidates accepted (with arranged supervision)
- Experience in school settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and behavioral management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to a diverse K-12 caseload
- Conduct assessments and maintain thorough documentation (assessment materials will be reimbursed up to $2,500)
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, classroom teachers, and families
- Follow district protocols and scheduling within assigned campuses
