Speech-Language Pathologist in Wheeling, IL
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school serving Kindergarten through 5th grade, starting mid-March. This contract role offers a school-year commitment and emphasizes providing support in a dynamic and supportive educational environment. Preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual in Spanish to better serve the diverse student population.
Responsibilities include conducting speech and language evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy services to students with various speech and language needs. The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress and ensure effective communication development.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification, preferably SLP - CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience working in elementary school settings with children K-5th grade
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology assessments and interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work full-time starting mid-March
