Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Colorado (PreK-8th Grade)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a super part-time, in person or virtual position supporting students in Colorado, ranging from PreK through 8th grade. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP looking for flexible hours and the ability to make a significant impact from an onsite or remote setting.
Hours: Between 1-3 hours per week, with potential for slight fluctuations based on caseload needs.
Location: Westminster, CO
Caseload Specifics: The caseload will primarily consist of PreK-8th grade students attending a school in Colorado. Specific caseload details, including student diagnoses and therapy needs, will be discussed during the interview process to ensure a good fit. We anticipate a mix of articulation, language, fluency, and social communication goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual speech and language evaluations for PreK-8th grade students to determine eligibility for services.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments.
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students, utilizing engaging and evidence-based practices.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication development.
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and other school-based team meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress in accordance with school, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master's or higher degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Service Provider (SSP) license for Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Strong understanding of Colorado's ECEA (Exceptional Children's Educational Act) and special education guidelines.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
