Teletherapy SLP for Michigan Special Education Centers
We are seeking a Teletherapy SLP for Michigan Special Education Centers to serve students with moderate to severe disabilities. This 1099 remote role focuses on functional communication, AAC, and collaboration with highly specialized teams. You’ll work with students who require adaptive approaches and high levels of support, offering rewarding and meaningful engagement.
Responsibilities:

Deliver therapy to students with significant communication needs.

Collaborate with behaviorists, OTs, and physical therapists.

Develop individualized communication systems (including AAC).

Train staff on device use and implementation.

Conduct functional communication assessments.

Write IEP goals that reflect realistic, achievable communication outcomes.

Provide frequent updates to families and staff.
-
Adapt therapy plans based on sensory and behavioral needs.

Document therapy sessions and progress regularly.

Use visual supports and digital tools to enhance access.
-
Participate in remote IEP meetings and care team conferences.
-
Ensure alignment with IDEA and MDE standards for specialized programs.
-
Support transitions between therapy phases or environments.
-
Communicate progress in caregiver-friendly language.

Maintain licensure and continuing education in special education topics.

VOCOVISION Requirements
· Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
· Contractors must provide your their own liability insurance
· Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
· Home computer with high internet speed
· Passed basic tech screening
Interview Process:
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
- 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
- Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
