Speech Language Pathologist in Amherst, MA
Amherst, MA
A leave of absence contract is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at an elementary school in Amherst, MA. This position supports students in grades K-4 at Clifford Granger School, providing essential speech and language services within a small-group, one-on-one, or inclusion classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Conduct evaluations for IEP eligibility
- Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Participate in IEP meetings
- Write and monitor goals related to student progress
- Document and track student progress regularly
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification (CCC preferred)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged students
- Ability to conduct assessments and write effective goals
- Strong communication and documentation skills
