Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Conduct speech and language assessments for students with communication disorders

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs

Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to support student progress

Monitor and document student performance, adjusting interventions as needed

Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Federal and State Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current Florida SLP license or eligibility required

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Florida school districts
