Speech Language Pathologist in Norristown, PA
Norristown, PA
An immediate opening is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an elementary school life-skills program through the end of the school year. This contract position is based in Norristown, PA, and offers a full-time schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to approximately 50 students within the life-skills program.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and other school staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and therapy goals.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged students.
- Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
- Ability to manage a caseload of diverse students, including those in life-skills or special education programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
