Position Overview
A school district in Wenatchee, Washington (98801) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students with diverse communication needs. The SLP will be an integral part of the special education team, delivering services that enhance students' ability to access the curriculum and engage meaningfully in their school community.
Primary Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to determine student eligibility for services.

Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Provide direct therapy to students individually and in small groups across a variety of settings.

Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, parents, and other specialists to support student goals.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP and evaluation planning sessions.

Maintain accurate and timely records of evaluations, session notes, progress monitoring, and compliance documents.

Serve as a resource for school staff regarding speech and language development and classroom strategies.

Supervise SLPAs, interns, or Clinical Fellows according to licensure and district guidelines.

Stay current on developments in educational speech-language pathology and state/federal special education regulations.
Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field from an accredited program

Valid Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain one

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; supervision available for Clinical Fellows

School-based or pediatric experience preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Knowledge of IDEA, IEP procedures, and Washington State education laws

Ability to work independently while managing multiple caseload priorities
