Pediatric School Speech Therapist - Newark, New Jersey
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support early childhood development in a dynamic center located in Newark, NJ. This full-time, contract position offers 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, running from January 5th to June 18th, 2026. The role focuses on providing specialized speech and language services to young children, helping to foster their communication skills during critical developmental stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for early childhood clients.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to pediatric needs within an educational setting.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to support children’s communication and educational goals.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation aligned with regulatory and educational standards.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input to improve program quality and client outcomes.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Must hold a valid New Jersey teaching certification.
- Preferred credential: SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC); Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will also be considered.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with young children and multidisciplinary teams.
