Speech Pathology - Des Plaines, IL
A dynamic K-12 school located in Des Plaines, IL, is seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to provide specialized support to students throughout the school year. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students in grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy goals as needed
- Provide guidance and training on speech and language strategies to school staff
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing school-based speech services
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois
- Experience working in a school setting with K-12 students
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
