A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available for a leave contract at an elementary school in Waukegan, IL. This role offers a focused caseload, providing both direct and indirect speech-language services within a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services to elementary students
- Manage an elementary school caseload efficiently within scheduled hours
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings relevant to student progress and therapy goals
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or current Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) status
- Experience or specialization in school-based speech-language services
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development in elementary-aged children
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional communication with school personnel and families
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as a speech-language pathologist in Illinois
Position Details:
- Full-time, 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Start date: Mid-March 2026
- End date: June 2, 2026
- Guaranteed hours and compensation for both direct and indirect services
- No additional responsibilities outside contracted hours (e.g., bus duty or parent pick-up)
- Travel therapists may be eligible for stipends
