A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in school-based services, located in Waukegan, IL. This position supports an elementary school with a caseload of approximately 35 students requiring speech and language services. The contract runs from January 5 through April 6, offering a consistent 35-hour workweek from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to the needs of elementary-aged children.
- Manage a caseload of around 35 students with various speech and language disabilities.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals within the school environment.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports for each student.
- Work onsite to deliver direct therapy and participate in school activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) is required.
- Experience in pediatrics and school-based speech-language services.
- Familiarity with teletherapy and clinical fellowship year (CFY) experience are advantageous.
- Ability to manage grade-level specific caseloads effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for engaging with students, families, and school personnel.
