Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Naperville, Illinois
This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide essential speech-language therapy services in an elementary school setting, located in the greater Naperville area, including Carpentersville, IL. The contract runs through the current school year with a start date of ASAP through May 21, 2026, working 37.5 hours per week.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the planning and delivery of speech-language therapy focused on areas such as assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive and expressive language development delays. You will perform diagnostic and evaluation testing, deliver clear and insightful reports, and work closely with students aged 2 to 22 years who have moderate to severe disabilities. Developing and maintaining IEP objectives and collaborating with parents and fellow professionals will also be essential aspects of this role.
Qualifications sought for this position include:
- Holding or being qualified to hold an Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license and a Professional Educator License (PEL)
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility and effective problem-solving capabilities
