Speech Therapist in Waukegan, IL
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in leave coverage, beginning January 6 through the end of the school year. Located in Waukegan, IL, this role supports high school students and potentially those aged 18-22, with a workload of 4 to 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services tailored to the individual needs of high school and transition-age students
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective communication interventions
- Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation of student progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders is required
- Valid state SLP licensure
- Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred, though not mandatory
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and collaborate with school personnel
