School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Salinas, California
This position offers an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in an early childhood school setting, providing specialized support for preschool-aged children. The role is part-time and onsite, based in Salinas, CA, with a contract duration spanning from January through the end of the school year. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in preschool students
- Develop individualized therapy plans to support language and speech development
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
- Participate in team meetings to align goals and strategies
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license with ASHA CCC, or currently in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working as an SLP in school-based settings, preferably with early childhood or preschool populations
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development milestones and intervention techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and work independently
