School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Gilroy, California
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) position is available to provide specialized support for K-12 students in a school setting. This contractual, school year opportunity offers the chance to work closely with elementary students who require intensive individualized speech and language interventions. The role is onsite in Gilroy, CA, with assignments starting as soon as possible through June 4, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, organize, and deliver tailored speech and language therapy programs for students with multiple handicapping conditions.
- Conduct thorough evaluations to identify speech and language difficulties and maintain detailed clinical records regarding assessments, observations, and progress.
- Collaborate closely with instructional staff and families by communicating therapy outcomes and recommendations.
- Manage a caseload focused primarily on elementary school students.
- Ensure compliance with all state and professional licensure requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist licensure.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility.
- Appropriate Educator Credential for school-based practice.
- Experience in a K-12 educational setting, preferably working with diverse speech and language impairments.
- Strong organizational skills to manage therapy plans and documentation efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff effectively.
Work Details:
- Location: Onsite in Gilroy, CA.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week during the standard school year.
