This opportunity seeks Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) with the appropriate certifications and experience to support K-12 students in a full-time, onsite role within a school setting in Watsonville, CA. The position focuses primarily on elementary students with diverse and multiple handicapping conditions, requiring tailored speech and language programs. This contract runs through the school year, ending June 4, 2026.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering individualized, intensive speech and language therapy programs that address complex student needs.
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations for students with speech and language difficulties.
- Maintaining detailed clinical documentation, including evaluation data, therapy observations, and progress records.
- Collaborating with instructional staff and communicating therapy outcomes and progress to parents.
- Managing an elementary caseload, applying expertise to enhance communication skills and academic achievement.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology licensure.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility.
- Possession of an educator credential.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings preferred.
