School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Waterville, Maine

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-8 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the academic year, beginning August 26th, 2026, and concluding June 12th, 2027. At a single, welcoming location, you'll provide vital services to a diverse group of 30-50 students, addressing a wide range of communication needs. This full-time role offers stability with a consistent schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 37.5 hours each week.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure for clinical practice
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially K-8
- Ability to adapt to a diverse caseload with a variety of needs
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility, collaborative mindset, and strong organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students K-8
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings as an integral team member
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Provide resources and guidance to staff and families on communication strategies
