Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team in Waterville, Maine (ZIP 04901). This role provides an opportunity to support student communication development in a collaborative school environment serving a diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech and language screenings, evaluations, and assessments.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) that address students’ communication needs.

  • Deliver direct speech therapy services in individual and group formats.

  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.

  • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation compliant with state and federal requirements.

  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility discussions, and team collaboration.

  • Provide consultation and training to staff and families regarding communication strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.

  • Valid Maine state licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP processes, and school-based therapy best practices.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in educational or pediatric settings.

  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

  • Familiarity with AAC technology and teletherapy platforms.

Work Environment:
