Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Part-Time
Location: Waterboro, Maine
Schedule: 8–24 hours per week
Assignment: ASAP through end of the school year
Caseload: Preschool through Grade 5
Job Description:
A school district in Waterboro, Maine is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students from preschool through 5th grade. The primary caseload will focus on students with some of the district’s highest needs, including those enrolled in specialized programming. The role may also include assisting with evaluations at another elementary school within the district.
Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is a strong plus.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, primarily in special purpose programming

Assist with speech-language evaluations as needed

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress

Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-focused planning
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Valid Maine SLP license or eligibility to obtain

Experience working with young children, especially those with significant communication needs

Familiarity with AAC systems preferred

Strong organizational and communication skills
-
Availability to begin immediately and work through the end of the school year
