Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Caseload:
PreK–5th Grade, with a primary focus on students in high-needs special purpose programming. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with speech and language evaluations at another elementary school. Experience or interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is a plus.
Position Overview:
RSU 57 is seeking a Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated special services team in Waterboro, Maine, with availability to start as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year. This position ranges from 8 to 24 hours per week, depending on caseload needs and candidate availability.
The SLP will provide essential speech and language services to students in PreK through 5th grade, with a strong focus on supporting high-needs learners in specialized programs. The role may also include collaborating on evaluations at a nearby elementary school. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SLP or a Clinical Fellow (CF) who is passionate about working with diverse student populations.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs.

Evaluate, assess, and diagnose speech, language, communication, and AAC needs.

Support the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.

Collaborate closely with special education staff, classroom teachers, families, and related service providers.

Document and track student progress and maintain compliance with all required reporting.

Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on goals, services, and accommodations.

Provide consultation and support for AAC systems as needed.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Valid Maine SLP license or eligibility to obtain one.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered.

Experience working with elementary-aged students and/or special purpose programming is highly desirable.

Familiarity with AAC tools and strategies is a strong asset.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
