Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Washington, District of Columbia
A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support elementary-aged students in a school setting located in Washington, DC. This contract position involves working 15 to 18 hours per week, starting ASAP through 6/22/26, with the potential to extend services into Extended School Year (ESY) sessions. The caseload will include students from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade, with opportunities to work directly with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to a diverse elementary school caseload (PK-5th grade).
- Utilize AAC devices to support students with complex communication needs.
- Deliver therapy through in-person and/or teletherapy formats as appropriate.
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, preferably in school or healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and techniques.
- Knowledge of AAC devices and their application in therapy.
- Candidates with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility or completed CFY considered.
- Experience or credentials as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in school or healthcare environments is a plus.
