Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Naperville, Illinois
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers an engaging itinerant role working across multiple school locations near North Naperville, IL. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting school-aged students, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities, providing targeted therapy to promote communication and learning success.
Key Qualifications:
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License (SLP or Clinical Fellowship)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience working with school-aged populations, particularly students with ASD and intellectual disabilities
- Strong skills in collaborative teamwork, documentation, and communication
- Ability to complete fingerprinting and background check prior to start
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students ages 5–22
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify communication needs
- Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
- Collaborate closely with educational and clinical staff to support student goals
- Travel between assigned school sites with paid travel time
Job Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Contract position starting ASAP through May 22, 2026
- Students primarily diagnosed with ASD and intellectual disabilities
- Caseload size varies based on assignment
