A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in early childhood services within a school-based setting. This position focuses on providing support to preschool-aged children with mild to moderate speech and language disorders, including articulation and fluency challenges.
Location: Romulus, MI
Duration: Current School Year (ASAP through 6/12/2026)
Schedule: Approximately 2 days per week (flexible days, excluding Fridays)
Setting: Early Childhood School serving Pre-K students in one site
Caseload: Roughly 14 children, including new referrals
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and ongoing assessments for preschool-aged children
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services tailored to individual needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans for articulation, fluency, and related speech concerns
- Collaborate with educational teams and families to support student progress
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathology license required
- Demonstrated experience working with early childhood populations in school settings
- Strong understanding of mild to moderate speech and language disorders common in preschoolers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, staff, and families
