Pediatric School Speech Pathology | New Britain, Connecticut
A contract Speech-Language Pathologist is sought to provide substitute services at a middle school located in New Britain, CT. This role focuses on delivering specialized speech and language support to students, contributing to their individualized education plans, and participating in essential meetings to ensure comprehensive care and progress tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language pathology services to middle school students.
- Conduct evaluations and assist in writing measurable goals and objectives for spring annual reviews.
- Attend Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings to discuss student progress and needs.
- Collaborate with school staff and other professionals to support student development.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience in school-based speech therapy, including pediatric care.
- Familiarity with teletherapy is an advantage but not required.
- Previous experience as a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate or licensed SLP in educational settings.
- Strong skills in Individualized Education Program (IEP) goal writing and review.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
