Requirements:

Must meet all local and state licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathologists in Virginia

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA preferred
-
Active Virginia SLP license or eligibility to obtain
-
Experience working with special education students and families highly preferred
Typical Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students
-
Conduct evaluations, screenings, and progress assessments
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support communication goals

Provide strategies and consultative support to classroom staff
-
Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional development opportunities
