A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a maternity leave in an elementary school setting in the Virginia Beach area. This contracted role is based on-site and will support students within the elementary age range, providing essential speech and language services.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized speech-language therapy to elementary students
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication needs
- Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans based on student evaluations
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports according to school guidelines
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to student success strategies
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia License to Practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to manage caseload responsibilities independently and efficiently
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards
