Speech and Language Pathologist in Roanoke, VA

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the full school year in a K-12 setting located in Roanoke, VA. This role offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours based on your preference, providing an on-site school environment to support student communication and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students grades K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school district policies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student education planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience working within a school setting is highly desired.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate children of various ages.
- Understanding of educational and therapeutic interventions appropriate for K-12 students.
