This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing essential services in a K-12 school setting located in Victorville, CA. This is a contract position with an Extended School Year (ESY) schedule, designed to support students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. The assignment is full-time, requiring 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with a start date as soon as possible and ending on June 5, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders for a caseload of 70-75 students.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals.
- Implement therapy sessions tailored to student needs across a broad range of grade levels (PK - 12).
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school district policies.
- Participate in team meetings and provide consultation to faculty regarding speech and language development.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP credential or certification appropriate for school settings.
- Experience working with school-aged children across multiple grade levels.
- Ability to manage a large caseload while providing individualized care.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and families.
- Knowledge of current best practices in speech-language pathology related to educational environments.
