A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in an elementary setting located in Vicksburg, MS. This contract role offers an opportunity to provide essential support during maternity leave, delivering services to young students and making a positive impact on their communication development.
Two full-time openings are available:
- Position 1: January 18th through late March or early April (approximately the 6th), working 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, serving Kindergarten through 1st grade.
- Position 2: January 5th through March 1st, working 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, serving 4th through 5th grade.
Both positions are on-site, allowing for hands-on collaboration with school staff and in-person services, which ensures tailored interventions suited to each student’s needs.
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Eligibility and/or experience as a School-Based SLP
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans appropriate for elementary students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing caseloads and progress documentation in school settings
Responsibilities involve assessing and treating speech and language disorders within the assigned grade levels, collaborating with educators and parents, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.
