Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Remote School Psychologist to support K–12 students in the Staunton, VA area. You will conduct assessments, provide counseling and consultation, and collaborate with school teams—virtually. This role allows you to contribute to student success from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychological and psychoeducational evaluations remotely

Interpret assessment results and write clear reports
-
Develop individualized plans and interventions (IEPs, 504, behavior plans)
-
Provide virtual counseling and consultation to students, staff, and families
-
Participate in IEP meetings, planning, and follow?ups
-
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (teachers, special educators, administrators)
-
Maintain timely documentation, comply with legal and ethical standards

May support crisis intervention or behavioral consultations

Stay current with best practices in remote school psychology
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or closely related field
-
Active Virginia School Psychologist license (or eligibility)
-
Familiarity with Virginia special education law, regulations, and licensure requirements (e.g. School Psychologist or School Psychologist-Limited)
-
Prior experience conducting assessments and working in school settings preferred
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to work independently, manage remote caseload, and use telehealth platforms
-
Technical proficiency (reliable internet, computer, webcam, secure software compatibility)

Professional liability insurance (if required by contract)

Ability to pass a technical screening

New graduates or early-career professionals with appropriate licensure may be considered
