Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School Setting | Stuart, FL

An opportunity is available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists to provide full-time support within the school setting in Southeast Florida. This contract role offers a dynamic caseload working with students across one to two schools, depending on assignment, within St. Lucie Public Schools. The position begins in August 2026 and runs through the end of May 2027, delivering impactful therapy services to children throughout the academic year.

Location:

  • Stuart, Florida (Southeast Florida Coast)
  • Onsite role within local public schools

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy to school-aged children
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment for diverse communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports compliant with school policies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success plans

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure valid in Florida
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) candidates considered if supervision arrangements can be supported
  • Ability to complete or transfer required fingerprint background checks
  • Previous school-based SLP experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills tailored to a school environment

Work Details:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Start date: August 10, 2026; end date: May 28, 2027
  • Caseload size varies, with flexibility regarding school assignments
