Speech Language Pathologist in Vero Beach, FL
A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for various school-based positions in Southeast Florida, serving K-12 students in need of speech and language support. These roles are contract positions beginning ASAP through June 2026, with flexible full-time and part-time schedules available. Assignments may include working in middle schools, K-8 campuses, and private school evaluation teams, focusing on caseloads that range from elementary to middle school age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to K-12 students according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Conduct evaluations and screenings for speech and language disorders as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies.
- Serve students in diverse school settings, including those with InD and DHH units.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida SLP licensure.
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) credential required for evaluation duties.
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to independently manage caseloads and provide therapy in multiple school environments.
