This contract role involves working with diverse caseloads in multiple school settings, emphasizing full- and part-time assignments with flexible location options.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to students across elementary, middle, and K-8 school environments.
  • Conduct evaluations and provide therapy interventions tailored to student needs, including those in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) cluster programs.
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Manage caseloads independently, including days with no other SLP on site, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Participate in assessment activities as part of a private school evaluation team, requiring completion of evaluations at a district office location.

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is mandatory.
  • Experience working in school-based settings, preferably across multiple grade ranges (K-12).
  • Strong organizational skills to manage varied caseloads and schedules efficiently.
  • Ability to work autonomously in school sites with minimal onsite SLP support.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and educational teams.

Locations and Scheduling:

  • Assignments available in Ft. Pierce, Port St. Lucie, and surrounding Southeast Florida Coast areas.
  • Flexibility for full-time or part-time hours based on assignment needs.
  • Work schedule varies by site, including multi-day and single-day per week options.
