Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time opportunities with school districts in the Vernon Hills, IL area. We are seeking professionals who are passionate about supporting students’ communication development and academic success in a collaborative school environment.
Position Overview:
The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The SLP will work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct speech and language evaluations and re-evaluations
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student needs
-
Provide direct speech-language therapy in individual and group settings
-
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support communication goals
-
Document student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
-
Ensure services are provided in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
-
Promote inclusive communication strategies within the school environment
Requirements:
Applicants must meet all state and local requirements to be eligible for this role, including:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Valid Illinois SLP license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
-
Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist (Non-Teaching) endorsement issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred)
-
Ability to pass background checks and fingerprint clearance
-
School-based experience is preferred
