Qualifications & Expertise:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in South Carolina
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
  • Experience working in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and families
  • Deliver effective speech-language therapy services through both direct and consultative models
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and adjust interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to enhance student success and advocate for their needs within the school environment
  • Participate in team meetings, staff training, and professional development activities, staying current with best practices in the field
