A K-12 school in Van Nuys, CA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential therapy services for students during the upcoming contract school year. This position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment, delivering targeted speech and language interventions to a diverse school-age population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group speech-language therapy to students with identified communication disorders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student performance.
- Participate in school meetings and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Credential or eligibility for credentialing to work in a school setting.
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) preferred.
- Experience working with a diverse K-12 student population.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload averaging around 45 students.
