School Speech and Language Pathologist | Van Nuys, California
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide onsite support at an elementary school setting. The role involves working directly with preschool-aged children to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. This position requires excellent communication skills and a passion for helping young students improve their speech and language abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for preschool students
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's needs
- Implement therapy sessions aimed at improving speech and language skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- CTC (California Teaching Credential) required
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with preschool or elementary-aged children
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 40 students effectively
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Location:
- Onsite position in Van Nuys, CA, specifically within a preschool environment
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 3:45 pm
- Contract position through June 5, 2025
- Immediate start date available
