Speech and Language Pathologist in Van Nuys, CA
A K-12 educational setting in Van Nuys, CA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience in school-based services. This contract-to-hire position offers the opportunity to work with an elementary caseload, focusing on supporting students in their communication and language development within an engaging school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language assessments and therapy services to K-12 students, primarily at the elementary level
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and compliance with school district policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to developing strategies that enhance student outcomes
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with a diverse student population in a school setting
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders commonly observed in children
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage an elementary caseload efficiently
Location & Schedule:
- Position based in Van Nuys, CA, with services also available in Thousand Oaks, CA
- 30-35 hours per week, providing a balanced workload conducive to quality care
