Soliant has placed clinical fellows in the area, and is seeking mentors who can shepherd them through their first year.
Scope of duties:
As a Clinical Fellowship mentor and RPE (Required Professional Experience) supervisor, there are two sets of requirements.Requirements as an RPE supervisor:
Complete an initial 6 hour course in supervising Clinical Fellows
8 hours per month of direct supervision (4 of which must relate to evaluation, assessment, and treatment procedures)
We seek candidates with the following qualifications:
Must maintain their ASHA Certification status during the course of supervision
Have 5+ years of recent experience in a school setting
Familiarity with Welligent strongly preferred
Active California SLP license
Additionally, we seek applicants with these competencies:
Ability to be communicative and responsive
Ability to guide Clinical Fellows in Federal and State guidelines relating to Special Education and qualification criteria for speech services
Ability to modify professional mentorship according to the needs of the Clinical Fellow
Motivation to foster a strong, new generation of Speech Language Pathologists
