A K-12 school located in Valley, AL is seeking skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for contract positions available from November 12th through the end of the school year. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling with part-time and full-time roles, allowing for a dynamic work environment serving students across multiple grade levels.
Position Details:
- Part-time SLPs: 2 openings, 20 hours per week, open days
- Full-time SLP: 1 opening, 30-40 hours per week
- Caseload of approximately 30 students, flexible across K-12 age groups
- Itinerant role requiring travel between two schools, with gas reimbursement provided
- Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices required
- No responsibility for Individualized Education Program (IEP) writing
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP certification, preferably with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Proven experience in school-based speech-language pathology
- Proficiency using AAC devices to support student communication
- Ability to manage caseload effectively and adapt therapy approaches for varied age groups
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset for working within school teams
