This contract opportunity seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive therapy services within a K-12 school setting in Fairfield, CA. The position runs through the end of the current school year, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The role involves supporting a diverse student population by conducting assessments, evaluations, delivering direct therapy, and actively participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer speech and language assessments to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans grounded in evidence-based practices
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services across K-12 grades
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams during IEP meetings
  • Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Attend required team meetings and complete administrative duties within contracted hours

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working in school-based settings with K-12 students
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and intervention techniques
  • Ability to manage itinerant caseload efficiently, including travel time which is compensated as part of pay
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
