Schedule: Full-Time, 10-Month School Year
Reports To: Director of Special Education / Site Administrator
Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services that help students reach their full potential. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team focused on student-centered outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities

Conduct detailed speech and language assessments using both standardized and informal tools.

Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings, focusing on enhancing communication skills.

Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Participate actively in IEP meetings, Student Study Teams, and other collaborative decision-making processes.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports in compliance with district policies and legal mandates.

Provide consultative support to classroom teachers and families regarding communication strategies and accommodations.

Offer training and resources to school staff on speech and language development and intervention techniques.

Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), interns, and Clinical Fellows as applicable.

Stay informed about current research, legislation, and best practices in school-based speech-language pathology.
Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited institution

Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential or eligibility to obtain one

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows may apply with supervision provided

Valid California license from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board or eligibility

Experience in school-based or pediatric speech-language pathology preferred

Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and special education regulations

Ability to manage caseload effectively and meet compliance deadlines
