Schedule: Full-Time, Secondary Focus (Grades 6–12)
Overview
Tupelo Public School District is hiring a licensed SLP to serve students in middle and high schools. This role is ideal for a speech-language pathologist interested in older students, transition planning, and higher-level communication support, including executive functioning and social language.
Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and diagnose speech and language impairments
-
Provide direct speech/language therapy based on IEP goals
-
Collaborate with vocational teachers and counselors
-
Contribute to post-secondary transition plans
-
Support students with autism, social-pragmatic needs, and AAC
-
Track service delivery using district software (e.g., SpedTrack)
-
Lead staff development sessions related to communication
Caseload & Supports
-
Serve ~35 students across 2 campuses
-
District-wide SLP team meets monthly for collaboration
-
Online materials, assessments, and therapy subscriptions provided
-
May supervise SLPA or graduate student interns
Requirements
-
Master's degree in Communication Sciences
-
Active 215 Mississippi SLP license
-
CCC-SLP required
-
Minimum 1 year school experience preferred
