Speech Language Pathologist in Tryon, NC
An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to provide maternity leave coverage in a supportive school setting near Tryon, NC. This 12-week assignment offers a chance to make a vital impact with students, working closely alongside dedicated teams.
Candidates should hold a current North Carolina SLP license and ASHA certification. A minimum of two years’ experience delivering speech-therapy services in school-based settings is required. Professionals who are confident in providing therapy, conducting evaluations, screening, and writing IEPs for PreK and self-contained classroom populations are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to those familiar with Medicaid Billing, though it is not mandatory. Applicants who are Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) will also be considered for this position.
Key Qualifications:
- North Carolina SLP license and ASHA certification
- At least 2 years of relevant school-based experience
- Comfort with speech/language services for PK and special education populations
- Strong assessment, screening, and IEP documentation skills
- Medicaid Billing knowledge desirable
- SLPA applicants welcome
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech/language services to PK students and self-contained classrooms
- Complete screenings and comprehensive evaluations
- Prepare and maintain accurate, timely IEP documentation
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights to student goal planning
Assignment Details:
- 12-week duration, covering maternity leave
- Shift: 7:30am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday
- Engagement running from ASAP through mid-May
