Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and provide comprehensive speech and language services to elementary school-aged students in the Sidney, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will be committed to student growth, collaborate effectively with educators and parents, and contribute to a positive school community.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for elementary students to determine eligibility for services.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders, aligning with state and federal regulations.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, individually and in small groups, addressing a variety of communication needs (e.g., articulation, phonology, language, fluency, voice, social communication).
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, administrators, and other school personnel to support student success in the classroom and at home.
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student services, progress, and communication.
- Educate school staff and parents on communication development and strategies to support students.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred, but CFY candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong commitment to student-centered practice.
