Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Newark, New Jersey
A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students from Pre-K through Grade 8 in a school setting located in Newark, NJ. This role requires a strong background in pediatric speech therapy along with relevant certifications and clinical fellowship experience.
Responsibilities include providing speech-language evaluations, creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with educators and families to support student communication goals. The position begins immediately, serving Pre-K students through mid-March. From mid-March through June, services will shift to the Intermediate school level (Grades 5-8). There is an option to work Extended School Year (ESY) services in the summer and to continue the role from September through mid-October.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA highly desired
- Strong assessment and intervention skills for diverse speech and language disorders
