The role is a contract position for the current school year and focuses on supporting students with speech and language needs through comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and collaborative care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough evaluations of students presenting with speech and language disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Delivering targeted therapy sessions to address specific speech and language goals
- Monitoring and meticulously documenting each student’s progress throughout therapy
- Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team including educators and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care
- Engaging and educating families to foster involvement and support in the student’s therapy process
Qualifications for this role:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a speech-language pathologist
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology in the respective state
