An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in telespeech services to support a contract position in Birmingham, AL. This role involves delivering targeted speech therapy to students across middle and high school levels within a clinical school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services via telespeech to a small caseload of six students, including one sixth grader, two middle school students, and three high school students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to the needs of each student.
- Collaborate remotely with educational and clinical staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with clinical and educational standards.
- Adapt scheduling as needed, with current sessions set for Friday mornings from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, allowing for some flexibility.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Experience delivering speech therapy through telespeech platforms, preferably within school settings.
- Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and progress monitoring for school-aged children.
- Ability to work independently and manage a small caseload efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Location: Birmingham, AL
Schedule: Approximately 3 hours per week, Fridays with flexible timing considered
Contract Duration: Immediate start through June 4th
