Pediatric SLP Remote in NY
A licensed Speech Language Pathologist with expertise in pediatrics and teletherapy is needed to provide virtual services for K-12 students in the Schenectady, NY area. This contract position supports a small caseload, offering focused speech therapy sessions that enhance communication skills through online delivery.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting two individual speech therapy sessions per week for each of two students
- Leading two group sessions weekly for two additional students
- Delivering services via teletherapy, ensuring engagement and effective treatment virtually
- Collaborating with families, including accommodating specific session time requests such as a 5pm appointment
- Maintaining compliance with New York state licensure requirements
- Documenting progress and communicating effectively with stakeholders
Preferred qualifications and skills:
- Valid New York State SLP license or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings
- Proficiency in telepractice and virtual therapy delivery for speech-language services
- Comfortable managing a caseload primarily through remote sessions
- Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate virtual appointments and report on student progress
This contract position is expected to begin immediately and continue through the end of the school year, averaging about six hours of service weekly. The role provides an opportunity to deliver individualized and group teletherapy sessions focused on student success.
